The Fairytale Parade
I promised my grandkids, James and Rose, that I would take them the next time “The Fairytale Parade” came to town. We’re hoping to see the GIANT and taste those oh, so good candy apples. Please, come with us. We’ll just follow the sound of the Rum Tum Tum and it will take us right to “The Fairytale Parade”.

Our Story
In 2016 I shared an idea of using a new song I'd written “The Fairytale Parade“ for a children’s book. Turns out, the person I was sharing with was an art professor. She said she would put it out to her class’s and see if anyone wanted to give it a try. If this was a movie, the clouds would part, streaming light down on the sketchpad of her student Ayana Mathis as she raised her hand and got my number. After a brief conversation, I sent her a copy of the song. Soon we had the Mad Hatter, Hook, Pan, and the Red Rose Queen. We were both very excited and overwhelmed by what we had started.
Next came my dear friend John Kilburn, an extremely talented musician and an award winning composer and producer. Working with Ayana and John, we had the song inspiring the artwork and the artwork inspiring the orchestration, a very exciting collaboration.
It soon became apparent I was over my head in this act of creation, discovering lots of what I didn’t know that I needed to. Once again the heavens smiled and Dustin Strocchia came to the rescue. His eye for excellence and staying on track carried the day.
May our collaboration stir your imagination, each and every time you visit "The Fairytale Parade".
