M y name is Chuck Thrapp and I live with my wife Roz in the home we built inside the Sierra National Forest. We left LA in 1980 and moved to what many would consider the wilderness. No electricity, phone, water or money, just a 15 foot trailer and 20 acres of undeveloped land and a dream.
37 years later we have our piece of heaven. We raised two beautiful, independent, and talented daughters, Katie and Juliet while supporting three careers, Roz as a teacher and mine as a contractor and musician.
I began writing and sharing songs when I was 19 and it has been a wonderful part of my life. I play in the musical group, Sugar Pine. Performing locally at a variety of venues, our main gig for the past 35 years is performing at the Yosemite Mountain Sugar Pine Rail Road, “Moonlight Special”. We have been blessed to entertain, sing, and laugh with many 1000’s of people from all over the world. A completely unique and joyful experience.
Currently I’m in the studio working on recordings for a variety of projects. Having the time of my life!
